On Memorial Day, 2020, we launched Storied Stuff -- Show and Tell for Grown-Ups.  It was a covid project, inspired by a successful zoom we’d had with old friends when we were all staying sequestered in our homes.  Steve had suggested everyone look around their house and tell the others about a treasured object they’d cherished over the years.  We were enchanted by the memories shared that night—and we learned things about our pals that despite years of friendship we never knew.

That’s how Storied Stuff was born. And we figured we would try to keep it going for a year.

Now, four years later, we’ve posted well over 400 stories by writers far and wide, garnering hundreds of thousands of views from readers around the world.  Some of the contributors are friends and acquaintances, but many more are people who heard about the site from friends or friends of friends or simply stumbled across it on social media.

Some of the stories made us laugh.  More made us cry.

Keepsakes and the tales they tell that allow us to travel back and forth in time have that power.

So thank you to all who have shared their stories and thank you to all those who have read and commented on the stories that live here on Storied Stuff. Thank you as well to Chris Bomm, who assists us with the website and weekly posting.

Everyone has a story (or a thousand)  to tell—and if you’d like to share one of yours here, we welcome you.  It’s a lovely community here on Storied Stuff and we wish every one of you a Happy Anniversary.
