Through a painful divorce, I hung this on our bathroom door knob to remind myself – and maybe him – that Love will have the final say. Why the bathroom door? It’s the place we spend time alone, looking at ourselves in the mirror, having a good cry, a long bath.
I found it in a thrift store, sitting on a table, among a pile of forgotten treasures.
We moved out of that home, the best house I ever lived in. I let go of 70% of my possessions. Seven years and four moves later, I have a full life, but very few knick-knacks. But this little anchor of love and faith has been my companion with every new adventure.
It now hangs on my bathroom mirror. It still reminds me every day, through no-matter-what, that Love will have the final say.
